Welcome2Africa has grown through the energy, relationships and judgement of its people. To become an institution, that knowledge has to live in the organisation itself. When work depends on individuals, it leaves with them, entities drift apart, and the same partner ends up with several disconnected conversations. Good operations are invisible when they work and visible, with a proposed fix, the moment something drifts. This role designs and builds that operating backbone. Working with the Head of Business Operations & Entity Development, you will set one operating standard for the group: documented procedures, a CRM that holds the single record of every relationship, a shared drive that is the single source of truth, and dashboards leaders can use. As each entity grows its own teams, your templates and standards are what will keep growth from fragmenting the group.

What You Will Own

Map core processes across the group and each entity, and identify where work is delayed, duplicated or dependent on individuals. Write and maintain standard operating procedures for priority activities: investor onboarding, investee onboarding, event and mission delivery, mandate handling and trade execution. Build the stage-gate for mandates into our systems, so that none proceeds to execution without written commercial terms, margin validation by Finance, Legal clearance and an assigned entity. Make the CRM the group's single record for leads, partners and stakeholders, and drive its daily use across teams. Design workflows and automations across the Zoho suite the group runs on, and keep the shared drive structured, consistently named and current. Build one shared dashboard for the Group CEO and entity heads, replacing separate trackers. Support compliance processes, including KYC and AML checks, and ensure every shared mailbox and process has a named owner. Support the optimisation of our digital platforms, including the Investors Club and the digital matchmaking platform. Create the operating templates a new entity or team needs to start well, train colleagues, and stay with each change until it is routine.

What success looks like in your first 12 months FindRecruiters

Priority processes in every entity are documented, owned and followed. The CRM and shared drive are trusted as the single source of truth, and handovers no longer lose information. A single leadership dashboard is in regular use in management meetings. No mandate reaches execution without passing the agreed gates. New joiners become productive quickly because the way we work is written down.

What You Bring

Experience in business operations, process improvement, systems implementation or operational consulting. A structured mind, with the ability to see how a process should work and to document it simply. Practical skill with workflow, CRM and reporting tools; experience with Zoho is a strong advantage. The patience and persuasion to bring colleagues with you through change. We will appoint at Officer or Lead level depending on the depth of your experience.
