Job Title: CCTV Monitory Officer
Location: Abuja (FCT) Key Responsibilities
Continuously monitor live CCTV feeds from all camera locations across Jamub Group sites, ensuring uninterrupted surveillance coverage throughout each shift. Observe and identify unusual, suspicious, or unsafe activity across monitored locations, including unauthorised access, theft, safety breaches, and operational irregularities. Promptly report any incident, security breach, or anomaly to the Head of ICT and relevant on-site personnel (security, facility, or department heads) following the Group's incident escalation procedure. Maintain a daily monitoring log and incident register for each site, ensuring records are complete, consistent, and retained in line with the Group's data retention policy. Conduct routine checks of camera functionality, recording status, storage capacity, and video quality; promptly report any camera downtime, blind spots, or equipment faults to ICT for corrective action. Support the retrieval and preservation of CCTV footage requested for investigations, audits, or disciplinary proceedings, following proper chain-of-custody procedures. Take ownership of any errors, missed observations, or lapses in monitoring; report them honestly and promptly rather than concealing them, and cooperate fully in any post-incident review. Escalate technical faults with cameras, recorders (DVR/NVR), network connectivity, or the control room monitoring system to the Head of ICT without delay. Maintain strict confidentiality of all footage and monitoring data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and Jamub Group's data protection policies; footage must never be copied, shared, or discussed outside authorised channels. Coordinate with on-site security personnel and department heads to verify incidents in real time and support an effective response. Ensure proper handover of ongoing observations, open incidents, and equipment status at the end of each shift to the incoming officer. Comply with all control room access protocols, ensuring only authorised personnel enter the monitoring room. Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Head of ICT.
Daily / shift monitoring log for each site under surveillance. Immediate incident report for any observed breach, accident, safety hazard, or suspicious activity. Weekly summary report to the Head of ICT covering camera uptime, incidents logged, and outstanding issues. Fault / downtime report for any non-functional camera, recorder, or monitoring system component.

OND / HND or equivalent qualification; a background in security studies, criminology, or a related field is an advantage. Prior experience as a CCTV operator, control room officer, or in a security monitoring role is preferred. Basic familiarity with CCTV / DVR / NVR systems and control room equipment.
