 Job Title: Creche Caregiver

Location: Lagos 

Employment Type: Full-time Summary

We are recruiting a caring, patient and responsible Creche Caregiver to provide attentive care and supervision to babies and young children within a safe, clean and nurturing school environment. The ideal candidate should genuinely enjoy working with young children and be able to support their daily routines, hygiene, feeding, play and early developmental needs.


Key Responsibilities

Provide attentive and responsible care for babies and young children in the creche. Supervise children at all times and ensure their safety and well-being. Assist with feeding, changing, toileting and other personal care routines. Maintain high standards of hygiene within the creche and children's activity areas. Engage children in age-appropriate play, songs, storytelling and developmental activities. Support children's social, emotional, physical and early learning development. Observe children's behaviour, health and general well-being and promptly report any concerns. Support nap and rest routines and ensure children are comfortable and properly supervised. Keep children's personal belongings and care materials properly organised. Communicate relevant information about children's daily activities and welfare to the appropriate teacher, supervisor or parent. Work closely with nursery teachers and other school staff to provide consistent care. Follow the school's child safeguarding, health and safety procedures. Maintain confidentiality regarding children and their families. Support other reasonable childcare-related duties as assigned.


Requirements

Minimum of an SSCE/WAEC/NECO or equivalent qualification. Relevant training or certification in Early Childhood Care/Education (ECCE) is an advantage. Previous experience working as a caregiver, nanny, creche assistant or in a similar childcare role is preferred. Good understanding of basic childcare, hygiene and safety practices. Ability to care for and supervise young children patiently and attentively. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be responsible, dependable, observant and emotionally mature. Ability to work effectively as part of a school team. Basic first-aid or child-safety training will be an advantage.

Important Location Requirement:
