Debt Collection Officer

The Collection Officers will be responsible for contacting borrowers with overdue loans to negotiate repayment plans and recover outstanding debts. The role involves monitoring delinquent accounts, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and maintaining accurate records of all collection efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts.
Contact defaulters via phone calls, emails, letters, or in-person visits to recover owed amounts.
Negotiate repayment plans and ensure adherence to agreed terms.
Maintain detailed records of collection activities and borrower communications.
Recommend legal action or repossession of collateral for severely delinquent accounts.
Work with legal or recovery agencies when necessary.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve payment issues or disputes.
Advise customers on loan terms, payment schedules, and consequences of non-payment.

Requirements:

Experience:

0–1 year of experience.

Skills:

Strong negotiation and communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of debt collection laws and lending practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and loan management software.
Ability to work under pressure and meet collection targets.
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
