We are seeking a highly competent, detail-oriented, and experienced Internal Control Officer to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening internal control systems, monitoring operational activities, identifying control weaknesses, preventing losses, and ensuring strict compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical skills, integrity, sound judgment, and practical experience in internal control, audit, risk management, or a manufacturing environment.

Conduct regular operational and process reviews to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. Monitor production, inventory, warehouse, procurement, sales, and other operational activities. Identify control weaknesses, irregularities, fraud risks, wastages, and process inefficiencies. Carry out routine and surprise checks across various departments and operational locations. Verify production records, inventory movements, material usage, and supporting documentation. Investigate discrepancies and prepare clear and accurate internal control reports. Recommend corrective and preventive measures to strengthen operational controls. Monitor adherence to SOPs and ensure that approved procedures are consistently followed. Review transactions and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and authorization. Work closely with management and relevant departments to resolve identified control issues. Follow up on previously reported findings to ensure corrective actions are implemented. Maintain proper documentation of observations, investigations, and control activities. Assist in developing and improving internal control policies, procedures, and monitoring systems.

Bachelor's Degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Internal Control, Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, or a related field. Previous experience in a manufacturing company is highly desirable. Strong understanding of internal control principles, audit procedures, risk assessment, and operational controls. Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Ability to analyze records, identify discrepancies, and provide practical recommendations. Strong communication and report-writing skills. High level of integrity, confidentiality, discipline, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and under pressure with minimal supervision.
