 Job Title: Finance Controller

Location: Lugbe - Airport Road, Abuja (FCT)

Employment Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities

Oversee the company’s accounting and financial operations. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections. Ensure effective financial controls and accounting procedures are maintained. Monitor income, expenses, receivables, payables, and cash flow. Review financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies. Provide management with financial analysis and recommendations. Coordinate annual budgeting and periodic financial forecasting. Ensure timely statutory financial obligations and regulatory filings. Liaise with auditors, banks, tax consultants, and other financial institutions. Monitor financial risks and recommend appropriate control measures. Review and improve accounting processes and internal controls. Ensure proper maintenance and reconciliation of financial records. Supervise, guide, and develop the finance and accounts team. Support management in financial planning, cost control, and business performance monitoring. Perform other financial and management duties as assigned by the Managing Director.

Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN or ACCA). Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years’ relevant post-qualification experience, with experience in a managerial or senior finance position. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial controls. Experience in statutory compliance, taxation, audit coordination, and financial risk management. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software. Ability to effectively lead and manage a finance team. High level of integrity, confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail. Experience in the logistics, transportation, supply chain, or related industry is an added advantage. Must currently reside within Lugbe or its immediate environs in Abuja. Must be able to commute conveniently to the company’s office in Lugbe on a daily basis.
