Job Title: Head of Internal Audit
Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities
Internal Audit:Develop and implement the annual audit plan.
Conduct financial, operational and project audits.
Identify control weaknesses and recommend corrective actions.
Follow up on implementation of audit recommendations.
Financial & Project Audit:Review financial transactions, budgets and expenditures.
Audit property development projects, construction costs and contractor payments.
Check property sales, rental income and project profitability.
Identify financial leakages and unauthorised transactions.
Risk & Compliance:Identify financial, operational and legal risks.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Review land acquisition, property documentation and government approvals.
Fraud & Investigation:Detect and investigate suspected fraud and financial irregularities.
Review procurement, vendor and contractor transactions.
Report significant findings to Management and the Board Audit Committee.
Reporting:Prepare clear audit reports for Management and the Board.
Highlight major risks, findings and recommendations.
Monitor the closure of audit issues.
Team Management:Lead and supervise the internal audit team.
Set performance targets and develop team members.
Promote integrity, accountability and professional standards.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field with 8 – 10 years' relevant experience, and 3 – 5 years in a managerial role.
Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIA or CISA.
Experience in real estate, construction, property development or other asset-intensive businesses is an advantage.
Must not exceed 50 years of age
