Commencing operations in 1991 as Philips Projects Centre, an affiliate of Philips Electronics N.V. of the Netherlands. The PPC acronym was retained after a strategic management buyout of the Dutch parent company. Thus, with this strategic buyout, the old businesses were retained, with the added advantage of the exclusive distributorship of the numerous professional Philips' products, and the provision of integrated solutions based on cutting-edge technology. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: HR Manager

Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time Job Responsibilities

Process monthly payroll accurately and on time for all employees, including full-time, part-time, and contract staff. Ensure timely remittance of all statutory contributions — pension (employer 10%/employee 8%, or as applicable) to employees' PFAs, 1% of total payroll to NSITF, and ITF training levy — while tracking annual training hours and spend to support the 1% ITF payroll contribution and reimbursement claims. Process NSITF, ITF and PENCOM Certificates of Compliance and ensure they are current and available for regulatory/contract purposes Prepare and submit the annual ITF training return within statutory deadlines Drive the effective operation of the Group’s HRIS by ensuring data integrity, adoption of the system across the Group and its subsidiaries and provide periodic and ad-hoc reports for decision making. Support all recruitment activities and ensure all vacancies are filled within agreed time frame Support the annual performance management cycle, including goal setting, mid-year reviews and year-end appraisals. Develop and implement labor relations policies and procedures Advise and assist other departmental managers on interpretation and administration of personnel policies and programs Maintain proper employee documentation, contracts, personnel files and HR records. Manage the employee lifecycle from onboarding through separation. Prepare monthly and periodic HR reports covering payroll, headcount, turnover and other key metrics.

Key Result Area 1- Payroll Management:

Ensure payroll is processed accurately within approved timeline Manages all statutory deductions (tax, pensions etc.) Statutory deductions accurately calculated

Key Result Area 2- Compliance:

Compliance rate – adherence to tax laws, labor regulations, and statutory deductions Zero regulatory penalties/sanctions across NSITF, ITF, PENCOM schemes Valid, up-to-date compliance certificates (NSITF, ITF, PenCom) at all times

Key Result Area 3- Performance Management:

Support annual performance management effort of the business Support to ensure 100% completion of performance reviews within approved timelines. Ensure employees have clear, measurable and business-aligned objectives.

Key Result Area 4- Policy Management:

Manage the administrative HR processes & policies Ensure HR alignment with organizational strategy Ensure compliance to safety and security procedures

Job Specifications

Education: A minimum of bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Public Administration, Industrial Relations, Organizational Psychology or any other related discipline would be an advantage.

Professional Qualification: Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) and/or HR Certification Institute (HRCI).


Experience:

5 years of relevant and progressive HR generalist responsibility (i.e. handling compliance, payroll administration, recruitment and performance management) Practical experience with interpreting local labour laws. Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems. Strong analytical, numerical and reporting skills. Experience managing confidential employee and payroll information. Strong knowledge of HR policies, employee relations and HR controls.
