Job Summary
The Inward & Outward Clearing Officer is responsible for processing inward and outward clearing transactions accurately and within approved timelines, ensuring compliance with the Bank's policies, CBN regulations, and NIBSS clearing guidelines.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess inward and outward clearing instruments accurately and on time.
Verify cheque details and ensure compliance with clearing requirements.
Process returned instruments and maintain accurate transaction records.
Reconcile daily clearing transactions and prepare clearing reports.
Monitor outstanding clearing items and follow up on unresolved issues.
Ensure compliance with operational policies and regulatory guidelines.
Respond to clearing-related enquiries and support audit/compliance activities.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
RequirementsNational Diploma (ND) in Banking & Finance, Accountancy, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
Minimum of Lower Credit (preferred).
0–2 years of banking operations experience is an added advantage.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of banking operations and cheque clearing processes.
Good analytical and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
SalaryN107,000 per month.
