Legal Officer (Entry Level)

Job Scope


The Legal Officer will provide legal support across the company’s operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, assisting with contract drafting and review, and supporting dispute resolution processes.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate with 1–2 years of experience who is eager to grow their career in corporate law within the oil and gas industry.


Responsibilities


Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
Conduct legal research and provide advice on regulatory and compliance matters.
Support the company in managing disputes, claims, and litigation matters.
Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements and applicable laws.
Maintain proper records of legal documents and correspondence.
Liaise with external legal counsel, regulators, and stakeholders as required.
Work closely with the Head of Legal to support internal and external legal issues.
Stay updated on relevant laws, policies, and industry regulations.


Required Experience & Qualifications


Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree from a recognized university.
Nigerian Law School qualification (BL).
0 - 2 years of post-NYSC experience in a legal role, preferably in corporate/commercial law.

Salary

N200,000 per month.
