We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Loan Collection Officer to join our team.
The ideal candidate should have strong interest in debt collection and possess strong communication and negotiation skills.
You will be responsible for contacting defaulting customers, negotiating repayment plans, and ensuring timely recovery of outstanding loans while maintaining professionalism and customer satisfaction. 


Key Responsibilities


Contact customers with overdue loan payments via phone calls, emails, SMS, and field visits (where necessary). 
Negotiate repayment plans and follow up to ensure adherence. 
Maintain accurate records of collection activities and customer interactions. 
Provide excellent customer service while enforcing repayment obligations. 
Escalate difficult cases to senior officers or management when necessary. 
Assist in preparing reports on collection performance and recovery rates. 
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. 


Requirements & Skills


Passionate about working in the capacity of a loan collection Officer 
Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills. 
Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally. 
Basic knowledge of loan recovery processes and regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with collection software is a plus. 
High level of integrity, persistence, and resilience
HND/BSc in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage. 


Preferred Attributes


Experience working in a microfinance bank, commercial bank, or fintech. 
Ability to work under pressure and meet recovery targets.
