We are  recruiting to fill the position below:

 Job Title: Maintenance Inspection Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Description

Coordinate and oversee facilities inspection, asset condition monitoring, and maintenance assurance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Company facilities and infrastructure. Drive asset integrity, preventive maintenance, risk management, and HSE compliance through systematic inspections, performance monitoring, reliability improvement initiatives, and continuous optimization of asset lifecycle performance to support operational excellence and business continuity.

Task and Responsibilities

Conduct routine, periodic, and special inspections of facilities, infrastructure, and technical systems. Assess physical condition, functionality, integrity, and operational readiness of assets. Identify defects, deterioration, maintenance needs, and safety hazards. Evaluate building systems against established performance standards. Perform condition assessments and asset health reviews. Maintain facility inspection schedules and programs. Generate inspection reports with prioritized recommendations.

Coordinate implementation of preventive maintenance programs. Monitor compliance with approved maintenance schedules. Verify proper execution of corrective maintenance activities. Conduct post-maintenance inspections to assure work quality. Support development of maintenance strategies and maintenance plans. Monitor maintenance backlog and closure performance. Ensure optimization of asset life-cycle performance.

Support asset integrity management programs. Monitor critical equipment performance and reliability. Identify risks affecting asset availability and business continuity. Participate in root cause investigations of major failures. Recommend asset improvement and replacement initiatives. Support reliability-centered maintenance initiatives.

Identify facility-related operational risks. Support hazard identification and risk assessments. Recommend mitigation plans for identified risks. Monitor critical equipment and infrastructure vulnerabilities. Support emergency preparedness and business continuity initiatives.

Ensure compliance with Company HSE standards. Promote a strong safety culture throughout maintenance activities. Participate in HSE inspections and incident investigations. Support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure maintenance activities are executed safely and efficiently.

Job Requirements

Assists in the close out of all pending Synergy actions/recommendations. Familiarize self with Company's emergency procedures, carry out assigned responsibilities safely and report any incident, unsafe act or operation. Support the anomaly and downgraded situations tracking and closure process. Supports the Permit to Work (PTW) process & Perfect Day initiative at his location. Assists in ensuring closure of outstanding Synergy recommendations.
