Job Title: Male / Female Hotel Manager Recruitment& Staffing
Location: Aba, Abia
About the Role
The Hotel Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day management and smooth operation of the hotel. The manager ensures excellent guest service, effective staff performance, proper revenue management, cost control, cleanliness, security, and compliance with hotel policies and standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate all hotel departments.
Ensure smooth daily operations and quality service delivery.
Implement hotel policies, procedures, and SOPs.
Supervise, train, motivate, and evaluate hotel staff.
Prepare duty rosters and monitor staff attendance.
Ensure staff maintain professional standards and proper grooming.
Address staff performance and disciplinary issues.
Ensure guests receive excellent and professional service.
Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly.
Monitor guest satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
Monitor check-in, check-out, reservations, room allocation, and guest records.
Ensure accurate billing and proper cash-handling procedures.
Monitor occupancy and room sales.
Ensure guest rooms and public areas are clean and properly maintained.
Monitor room inspection standards.
Work closely with Housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for sale.
Supervise restaurant, bar, kitchen, and related operations.
Ensure quality food and beverage service.
Monitor stock, wastage, portion control, and service standards.
Monitor daily revenue, expenses, and departmental performance.
Control operational costs and reduce unnecessary wastage.
Ensure proper handling and accountability of hotel funds.
Work with the Accountant on budgets, reports, and financial controls.
Develop strategies to increase room occupancy and revenue.
Promote hotel rooms, restaurant, events, and other hotel services.
Maintain good relationships with corporate clients, agents, and business partners.
Ensure hotel facilities, equipment, generators, plumbing, electrical systems, and other infrastructure are properly maintained.
Report and follow up on repairs and maintenance issues.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and submit regular operational reports to management.
RequirementsCandidates should be between 45 and 50 years of age.
Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to Aba, Port Harcourt, or Owerri.
Must possess B.Sc./HND in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in hotel management/operations.
Strong leadership and people-management skills.
Excellent knowledge of hotel operations, guest service, revenue generation, and cost control.
Ability to manage multiple hotel departments and drive operational efficiency.
Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office is an advantage.
Professional hospitality certification is an added advantage.
SalaryN250,000 - N300,000 Monthly. Compensation& Benefits
