Job purpose
To maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize mechanical production equipment used in solid, liquid, and ointment manufacturing, ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with pharmaceutical manufacturing standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
Install, assemble, inspect, and commission mechanical machinery.
Troubleshoot mechanical faults affecting production equipment.
Support maintenance of mixers, granulators, tablet presses, filling machines, packaging equipment, and other relevant machinery.
Maintain equipment maintenance logs, breakdown reports, and spare-parts records.
Participate in equipment calibration support, qualification, and validation activities as assigned.
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), SOPs, safety procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and other engineering personnel to minimize downtime.
Qualifications and experience
OND, HND, or B.Eng./B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience;approximately 0-1 yearof relevant experience.
Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or FMCG production is an advantage.
Knowledge of mechanical systems, bearings, pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and equipment manuals.
Required competencies:Mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Preventive maintenance planning.
Technical documentation and attention to detail.
Teamwork, safety awareness, and accountability.
