Job Summary
Our client is currently seeking a competent and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to support our laboratory operations.
The Medical Laboratory Technician will assist in performing routine laboratory tests, preparing samples, maintaining laboratory equipment, and supporting Medical Laboratory Scientists to ensure efficient and accurate diagnostic services.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in collecting, labeling, and processing patient samples.
Perform routine laboratory tests under supervision.
Prepare reagents and laboratory equipment for use.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory.
Ensure proper storage and handling of laboratory specimens.
Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and reporting faults.
Keep accurate records of laboratory activities and results.
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and infection control standards.
Support Medical Laboratory Scientists in diagnostic procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:Diploma or Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology
Valid practicing license (where applicable)
1–2 years laboratory experience is an advantage
Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment
Good attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a team
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in a hospital laboratory.
Familiarity with standard laboratory safety procedures.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
