Programme Coordinator, Conflict and Peacebuilding (Damaturu)

Position Overview


The successful candidate will be accountable for the strategic coordination and execution of the protection and social cohesion elements within the WFP-funded initiative.
This position involves close collaboration with governmental and community partners, WFP cooperating organizations, and internal teams across various sectors including nutrition and food distribution to ensure the delivery of high-impact, integrated programs.
The role also entails providing support and technical guidance to ensure alignment with donor expectations and industry best practices.


Candidate Requirements

Educational Background:


A bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Arts, or related fields is mandatory.
A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred
Membership in a relevant professional organization is advantageous.


Professional Experience:


A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in humanitarian response, working with both local and international partner organizations is required.
The ability to function as a humanitarian generalist, with a broad understanding of various aspects of humanitarian work is desirable.
