 Job Title: Purchasing Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT) 

Employment Type: Full-time Job Description

Source and purchase the goods and services needed for hotel operations at appropriate quality, cost and delivery terms.

Process approved purchase requisitions for food, beverages, housekeeping supplies, maintenance items and other hotel needs. Obtain and compare quotations, evaluate suppliers and negotiate prices and delivery terms. Prepare purchase orders and track deliveries to prevent shortages and service disruption. Coordinate with stores and user departments to verify delivered quantities, quality and specifications. Maintain supplier records, procurement documentation and purchase reports. Support stock planning and cost control while following approval procedures and avoiding conflicts of interest.

BSc or HND in Purchasing and Supply, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related discipline. At least 3 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a hotel or food-service business. Knowledge of supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation, inventory coordination and purchasing controls. Strong negotiation, communication and organisational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement or inventory systems. Integrity and ability to manage urgent operational requirements.
