Research & Strategy Officer

Position Summary


As the Strategy Officer within Layer3's Strategy and Business Development Group, you will play a crucial role in gathering information using appropriate research tools and techniques to develop and shape the company's strategic initiatives. You will work in close collaboration with the head of Strategy & Business Development to create the company's strategy documents.


Key Duties


Market Analysis: Perform comprehensive research and analysis of industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscapes. Transform insights into actionable strategies that will drive the company's success.
Strategy Development: Demonstrate a clear understanding of strategy development across: Brand, Communications and Go to Market Plans
Innovation: Identify emerging technologies and trends that could impact our industry. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate innovation into the company's strategic roadmap.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with departments to ensure alignment between strategic goals and operational execution. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and coordinated efforts.
Risk Management: Evaluate potential risks and challenges associated with strategic decisions and provide mitigation strategies to ensure the company's growth trajectory remains steady.
Scenario Planning: Create various scenarios and contingency plans to adapt to changing market dynamics and unforeseen challenges.


QUALIFICATIONS


Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or Marketing.
Minimum of 2-4 years working experience in a strategy role (ICT industry experience will be an added advantage).
Experience in successfully implementing new organization models, including change management aspects.
Solid knowledge of research and analytic tools and sources
Advanced level of computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, and the Internet.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral (including presentations)
Capability to establish and maintain effective relationships with people at all levels in various organizations (internal and external).
