 Job Title: Safety and Environment Advisory

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Employment Type: Full-time Responsibilities & Duties

Develop and implement health and safety programs and policies Conduct regular safety audits and inspections Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes Provide safety training and education to employees Maintain and update safety documentation and records Coordinate emergency response plans and drills Advise management on safety and environmental concerns Monitor and analyze work environments and processes for potential hazards Recommend corrective actions and improvements to safety practices Prepare and submit necessary reports to regulatory agencies Lead risk assessment initiatives and hazard identification Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on safety issues Manage waste disposal and pollution control programs Stay current with changes in environmental health and safety regulations Promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field Certification in Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA, NEBOSH, etc.) Experience with environmental compliance and waste management Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations Proficiency in risk assessment and hazard identification techniques Strong communication and training skills Ability to analyze data and generate reports Experience with industrial hygiene practices Project management skills Familiarity with emergency response planning and coordination Proven track record of successfully managing safety programs Membership in professional safety organizations
