 Job Title: Safety and Environmental Inspector

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Employment Type: Full-time Responsibilities

Conduct regular safety inspections of the workplace Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions Ensure compliance with local and federal safety regulations Conduct safety training sessions for employees Investigate incidents and accidents to determine causes Maintain detailed reports of inspections and findings Participate in the development of safety policies and procedures Monitor the implementation of safety measures Collaborate with management to improve safety standards Ensure that safety equipment is available and functional Carry out risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies Stay updated on new safety laws and regulations Advise on safety installations and modifications Inspect and test safety systems, such as fire alarms and extinguishers

Bachelor's Degree in occupational safety, health, or a related field Certification in safety inspection, such as OSHA or NEBOSH Previous experience in a safety inspection role Familiarity with safety management software Knowledge of industry-specific safety standards Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to continuous professional development High school diploma or equivalent Certification in occupational health and safety Proven experience as a safety inspector or in a similar role In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards Proficient in MS Office and safety management software Excellent observational skills Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Ability to compile detailed and accurate reports Good physical condition and stamina Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
