Job Title: Security Officer
Location: Gwarinpa, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
Access Control: Monitor entrances, exits, and perimeter gates, ensuring that only authorized staff, guests, and vendors gain entry to the premises.
Premises Surveillance & Safety: Regularly patrol the building, car park, and surrounding areas to identify any safety hazards, suspicious activities, or security breaches.
Customer & Staff Safety: Maintain a visible, reassuring presence to ensure the safety of all guests, diners, and employees within the establishment.
Incident Response & Reporting: Respond quickly to emergencies, disturbances, or conflicts in a professional, calm manner, and document/report any security incidents to management immediately.
Crowd & Traffic Management: Assist with managing guest entry during peak hours, events, and coordinate with parking valets or drivers to ensure orderly vehicle movement.
Safety Protocol Enforcement: Ensure compliance with safety and security policies, including fire safety measures and restricted-area guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Minimum of a First School Leaving Cert (FSLC) or SSCE.
Experience: Previous security experience working in a hotel, restaurant, lounge, or corporate environment will be an added advantage.
Skills:Good physical fitness and alertness.
Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
Professional communication and conflict-resolution skills.
Integrity, reliability, and the ability to maintain composure under pressure.
