Job Summary
A Senior Accountant manages general ledgers, oversees financial reporting, ensures regulatory compliance, and guides junior staff.
You can review standard expectations and tasks on platforms like.
Core Responsibilities
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Prepare and review financial statements and journal entries
Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements
Ensure compliance with GAAP or IFRS accounting standards
Assist with tax filings, audits, and external auditor requests
Analyze budget variances and financial data trends
Supervise, mentor, and review work of junior accounting staff.
RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Professional certification such as a CPA or CMA (preferred)
3 to 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software (e.g., QuickBooks).
