Tele-Collections Executive

The Tele-Collections Executive will operate within the Corporate Risk department of Sun King, Nigeria, collaborating closely with the Contact Center, Operations, and Sales teams to follow up with customers regarding repayment for our Pay-As-You-Go products.

We are seeking an experienced Tele-Collections Executive who can leverage their expertise to enhance our repayment and collections rate.

Key Responsibilities:


Employ various skip tracing techniques and collection strategies (often self-designed) to locate appropriate parties for negotiating payment arrangements on high collectability or value accounts. Negotiate payment terms and methods upon reaching the right party. This process often involves reviewing account information in the database and/or asking probing questions to anticipate potential payment objections. Overcome hesitations and objections by suggesting potential money sources for debt payment. This involves minimizing resistance to payments and proposing available customer-friendly payment options. Utilize payment options (credit cards, direct checks) and secure this information for administrative services to process. Offer customers multiple payment options and arrange for prompt balance repayment. Negotiate settlements outside normal guidelines, authorize credit bureau deletions, and arrange payment plans over extended periods. Update customer account details and resolve pending customer issues. Escalate and file all fraud cases, following up with efficient timelines and solutions that benefit both the company and clients. Update accurate customer data and information during collections call check-offs. Ensure security and data protection for all client data captured during collections interactions. Record customer complaints and escalate relevant information using available tools.


Ideal Candidate Profile:


Holds a degree or Higher National Diploma in a business-related field. Possesses a minimum of 2 years of work experience, preferably in a related role within the financial sector or similar entities. Previous experience in customer service, sales, collections, or a related role is preferred. Can communicate clearly and concisely, utilizing proper grammar and telephone etiquette. Fluent in Yoruba and Hausa languages. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
