Job Summary
. The organization is currently seeking an extremely competent, proactive, organized, and genuinely helpful Accountant willing to grow with the company.
The Accountant will oversee all financial and accounting functions of the agency, including reconciliation of travel transactions, invoicing, payroll, and tax reporting.
The ideal candidate will also thoroughly review existing records, identify any outstanding issues, bring everything up to date, and establish a proper accounting system going forward.
The ideal candidate must have a strong grasp of accounting principles and experience in the service/hospitality industry.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and bank reconciliations.
Manage accounts receivable/payable, ensuring timely invoicing and payment collection from corporate clients.
Identify any outstanding issues and bring everything up to date.
Process payroll, calculate statutory deductions, and ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws (VAT, WHT, FIRS remittances).
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and budgets for management review.
Monitor cash flow and reconcile travel transaction fees (BSP/IATA settlements if applicable).
Establish a proper accounting system for the company going forward.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2–3 years of professional accounting experience (experience in a travel, hospitality, or service agency is a strong advantage).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Candidate must be IATA certified.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and Nigerian tax regulations.
High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Reliable, proactive, and capable of working independently.
Experience with the IATA/BSP financial reconciliation process is an added advantage.
RemunerationN140,000 to N180,000 / month.
