Job Summary
The Cashier will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately, handling payments, issuing receipts, maintaining proper cash records, and providing excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with company procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess cash, POS, transfer, and other customer payments accurately.
Issue receipts and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
Balance cash and payment records at the end of each shift.
Handle cash responsibly and report any discrepancies immediately.
Attend to customers professionally and provide helpful assistance.
Verify prices, discounts, and promotional offers before processing transactions.
Maintain accurate transaction records and submit required reports.
Ensure the cashier station is clean, organized, and properly maintained.
Follow company policies and procedures on cash handling and customer service.
Escalate transaction issues, complaints, or discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
RequirementsMinimum of an OND in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; previous cashier or retail experience is an advantage; basic computer and POS operation skills; good numerical and record-keeping skills; attention to detail; honesty and integrity; good communication and customer-service skills; ability to work under pressure; ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
SalaryN90,000 - N100,000 monthly.
