The Clinical Director will provide strategic and operational leadership for clinical services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered, and evidence-based care, while promoting clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and continuous improvement across the hospital.

Job Functions

Supervising all clinical services and operations, physicians, nurses, laboratory scientists and pharmacists; participates in quality improvement initiatives and programs; identifies opportunities for quality improvement in patient care and safety. Participating and directing provider and medical care team meetings. Supervise the pharmacy and laboratory to address matters of concerns. Support the Medical Director in the day-to-day management of the hospital and deputize in absence. Design and implement strategies to assist the clinic to realize business goals. Provides oversight and review of the physician visits to ensure accurate billing. Oversee the hospital's compliance with legal policies, guidelines, and standards as regards clinical compliance. Ensure clinical departments have sufficient and qualified personnel. Assists with  recruiting, mentoring and orientation of new clinical staff as assigned. Organize and run all patient care or administrative operations and programs. Oversee Clinical Governance of the hospital. Ensure all medical records and other hospital documentation are current and within statutory regulations. Perform quarterly and annual employee reviews and provide feedback on their performance to help motivate their dedication to professional goals. Plan and manage the clinical budgets. Balancing the duties of physician with that of an administrator while perform Clinical Consultant role in area of specialization. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanour at all times. Perform other duties assigned by the Management.

Job Requirements

MBBS/MBCH, FWACS, FWACP, or equivalent required; Annual Practicing Licence. Minimum of 7 years of post-fellowship clinical experience. At least 3 years in a senior medical leadership or administrative role. Experience in clinical governance and quality improvement. Experience in budget planning and resource management. Familiarity with private healthcare sector operations. Strong clinical expertise and decision-making skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to design and implement hospital policies and strategies. Financial acumen and experience with budgeting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospital information systems. Project and change management experience. Understanding of NHIS and regulatory compliance requirements.
