Sunplast is a leading plastic manufacturing company in Nigeria with almost 30 years experience in the plastic manufacturing industry. Sun Group entered into the Plastics industry through the acquisition of a plant in Sango Ota, Ogun State in 1991. A second plant was installed and commissioned in 2000 in Lagos. In 2015 both plants were merged under one roof in Ogun State. The plants, which operate under the names Bright Products Limited and Sunplast Industries Limited, are equipped with top-of-the-line injection molding machines from China, India and Taiwan. Job Title: Depot Manager
Location: Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time Role Objective
Custodian of depot stock with full accountability for accuracy, movement, and control. Ensure error-free inward, storage, and outward of goods as per defined processes.
Ensure mandatory physical presence during unloading of all incoming materials Supervise offloading and arrangement item-wise in designated area (CAGE) Physically verify quantity against LTO documents Identify and record shortages, damages, discrepancies Approve movement into warehouse only after verification Authorize LTO to LTI conversion post confirmation Maintain inward register and report discrepancies immediately (WhatsApp + email)
Ensure proper storage in designated racks and locations Maintain systematic arrangement of SKUs Ensure strict warehouse access control Act as sole custodian of stock accuracy
Control pick list execution from sales team Prioritize picking based on delivery timelines Ensure accurate picking by warehouse staff Verify items in cage area against pick list Ensure correction of shortage/excess before approval of picklist Approve pick list before DELIVERY NOTE/INVOICE generation Ensure no dispatch without proper documentation Restrict customer access to warehouse/cage
Ensure segregation of pickers and loaders Pickers – Internal handling Loaders – customer loading and offloading from factory Prevent overlap between teams Ensure disciplined movement across zones
Maintain full accountability for stock variance Investigate and report discrepancies Ensure zero tolerance for unexplained losses
Conductweekly stock verification of minimum 20 SKUs every Saturday Ensure physical vs system reconciliation for all verified items Submit weekly stock verification report before close of business Provide variance explanation and corrective actions for discrepancies
Verify customer returns as per policy Ensure invoice validation and condition check Weigh, record, photograph returned goods Make ERP entries as per SOP Submit for approval and process returns
Coordinate with warehouse, sales, and management Provide stock updates and reporting Ensure timely communication
Provide administrative oversight to sales team Support coordination between sales and warehouse
Petty Cash Management (To include in the induction by Finance):
Maintain and manage depot level petty cash as per company policy Ensure proper recording, documentation, and approval of all expenses Submit periodic petty cash statements and supporting documents Ensure compliance with financial controls and audit requirements
Adhere to ERP processes and SOPs Ensure no process deviation
