We are seeking an experienced Dimensional Marker / Fitter to support our fabrication operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately marking, fitting, and preparing structural components for cutting, drilling, notching, and assembly in accordance with approved engineering drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of structural fabrication, measuring and marking techniques, fabrication tools, and different types of structural materials.

Mark structural work accurately for cutting, drilling, holes, notches, and other fabrication requirements as per approved drawings. Read, understand, and interpret assembly and part drawings for structural fabrication work. Carry out dimensional marking and fitting activities to required tolerances and specifications. Use measuring and marking instruments accurately, including measuring tapes, steel rules, squares, levels, verniers, and other relevant tools. Select and use appropriate cutting, fitting, and fabrication tools for the  job. Perform accurate fitting and alignment of structural components prior to welding and final assembly. Verify dimensions, angles, levels, and alignment against drawings and specifications. Identify dimensional discrepancies and make necessary adjustments before fabrication or assembly. Work with different types of structural materials and understand their fabrication requirements. Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with company quality standards and procedures. Maintain good housekeeping and comply with all applicable HSE requirements.

Expected Results

Accurately read and interpret structural assembly and part drawings. Demonstrate sound knowledge of measuring and marking instruments and cutting tools used in fabrication. Carry out precise marking and fitting work for various types of structural fabrication. Maintain required dimensional accuracy and minimize fabrication errors and material wastage. Demonstrate good knowledge of different types of structural materials and their applications. Deliver work within agreed production schedules while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Diploma in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification; SSCE with substantial relevant experience may also be considered. Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in dimensional marking and fitting within a structural fabrication environment. Practical experience in reading and interpreting fabrication and structural drawings. Good knowledge of dimensional measurement, marking, fitting, and fabrication processes. Ability to work accurately with minimal supervision. Strong understanding of workplace safety and fabrication quality requirements.
