Job Description
The roles and responsibilities of this include, but are not limited to:
Ride the company motorcycle to carry out official duties, including picking up and delivering documents, parcels, and other items.
Always maintain a valid driver’s license and ensure all required motorcycle documents, permits, and insurance are up to date and available when needed.
Follow all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) driving rules and company policies to ensure the safety of yourself, the motorcycle, goods, and other road users.
Report all matters concerning the assigned motorcycle to the supervisor, including mechanical issues, incidents, or required maintenance.
Update the Drivers’ Logbook daily with accurate information on mileage, trips, and fuel consumption, and any other required details.
Ensure that all motorcycle documents and particulars (license, insurance, roadworthiness, etc.) remain valid at all times.
Clean the motorcycle regularly and keep it in good working condition.
Conduct daily inspections of the motorcycle’s general condition, checking the brakes, lights, oil level, tyres, fuel, and other essential components.
Properly lock and secure the motorcycle whenever it is left unattended to prevent theft or misuse.
Handle both internal and external distribution of goods and items efficiently and professionally.
Record all items received and delivered, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
Sign for packages at the point of collection and ensure the appropriate recipient signs for them upon delivery.
Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely and safe deliveries.
Maintain a polite, professional, and customer-friendly attitude when interacting with clients or colleagues.
Perform any other duties or assignments as required by management.
Any other assignment as required.
