Job Title: Dispensing Officer
Location: Odeda, Ogun
Job Summary
The Dispensing Officer is responsible for accurate dispensing of raw materials and packaging materials for production in compliance with approved procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and safety standards.
The role ensures that all materials issued are correct in quantity, quality, and properly documented to support efficient production processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesDispense raw and packaging materials as per approved Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and requisitions.
Verify material identity, batch number, status label, and expiry date before dispensing.
Ensure accurate weighing and measuring of materials using calibrated equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and proper environmental conditions within the dispensing area.
Record all dispensing activities accurately in logbooks and ERP systems (e.g., Darwinbox/SAP).
Ensure adherence to FIFO/FEFO principles during material issuance.
Coordinate with Quality Assurance (QA) for line clearance and approval before dispensing.
Label dispensed materials correctly and ensure proper transfer to production.
Report any discrepancies, deviations, or damaged materials immediately to the supervisor.
Participate in stock counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation activities.
Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of OND / HND / B.Sc. in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related field.
5–10 years of experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment (preferably in warehouse/dispensing).
Knowledge of GMP, material handling, and inventory control practices.
