Summary
We are looking for a thorough and experienced Editor to ensure the accuracy, quality, clarity, and timely publication of Nigerian NewsDirect's content.
Key Responsibilties
Review, edit, and proofread news stories, features, and other content; ensure accuracy, clarity, grammar, and adherence to editorial standards.
Fact-check content and identify errors or inconsistencies; work with reporters to improve story quality, structure, and angles.
Assign and coordinate stories where required; ensure content meets editorial deadlines and publishing schedules; develop headlines and other editorial elements.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English, or a related field; 3-5 years of experience in editing, journalism, or publishing.
Excellent command of written and spoken English; strong proofreading, fact-checking, and editorial judgment skills.
Good understanding of news writing and editorial standards; ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
