Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Electrical Technician with strong hands-on experience in the installation, servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel generators and associated electrical systems.
The successful candidate will provide technical support to customers, respond to equipment breakdowns, and ensure generator systems operate safely and reliably.
Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out installation, servicing, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of diesel generators.
Diagnose and rectify electrical faults in generator control systems, panels, alternators, wiring, and related components.
Perform testing and commissioning of generator sets and associated electrical systems.
Conduct routine inspections and identify potential electrical or equipment faults.
Respond promptly to breakdowns and provide effective technical solutions.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
Prepare service reports and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
Provide technical support at customer sites and ensure professional customer service.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HSE requirements, manufacturer specifications, and company procedures.
RequirementsHND or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related technical field.
3–5 years of relevant experience in generator servicing, electrical maintenance, field service, or a related technical role.
Strong hands-on experience with diesel generators and electrical systems.
Good knowledge of generator control systems, alternators, electrical panels, controllers, and protection systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Willingness to travel to customer locations when required.
Must be able to drive a manual vehicle.
A valid driver's licence is required.
