Abia State is a state in south-eastern Nigeria. The capital is Umuahia, although the major commercial city is Aba, formerly a British colonial government outpost. The state was created in 1991 from part of Imo State, and its citizens are predominantly Igbo people (95% of the population). It is one of the nine constituent states of the Niger Delta region.  Job Title: Executive Assistant

The Public-Private Partnership & Investment Promotions Office (PPP&IP Office), Office of the Governor, Abia State, is looking for a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to provide executive, administrative, and coordination support to senior leadership.


Key Responsibilities

Draft executive briefs, reports, presentations, memoranda, correspondence, and decision-support documents. Coordinate meetings, agendas, minutes, action trackers, and follow-up on key decisions. Manage proposals, submissions, and executive correspondence, identifying priority issues and required actions. Coordinate inputs from internal teams and stakeholders to support effective decision-making. Maintain accurate records, document control systems, and confidentiality protocols. Support research, special projects, and process improvement initiatives.


Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Law, English, Mass Communication, Project Management, Engineering, Secretarial Administration, or a related field. Minimum of five (5) years' relevant professional experience, including support to senior executives, project teams, government institutions, financial institutions, consulting firms, or development organisations. Demonstrable experience preparing executive documents, reports, presentations, meeting records, and project documentation. Experience in PPPs, investment promotion, infrastructure, public service, banking, consulting, law, or development finance is an advantage.


Skills & Competencies:

Excellent communication, writing, research, and organisational skills. Advanced Microsoft Word proficiency, strong PowerPoint skills, and working knowledge of Excel and digital collaboration tools. High integrity, discretion, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
