We are seeking an experienced and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining consistent food standards, ensuring proper kitchen hygiene, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen. The ideal candidate should have practical experience preparing a variety of Nigerian and continental dishes, demonstrate good knowledge of food safety, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Prepare and cook meals according to the establishment's recipes, standards, and portion requirements. Prepare a variety of Nigerian, continental, and other requested dishes. Ensure meals are properly cooked, well-presented, tasty, and served at the appropriate temperature. Assist with menu preparation and suggest new dishes where appropriate. Measure and use ingredients accurately to maintain consistency and control food costs. Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, seasoning, marinating, and portioning. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen. Properly store food items and ensure appropriate food-handling procedures are followed. Monitor food quality and report spoiled, damaged, or insufficient ingredients. Minimize food wastage through proper preparation, storage, and portion control. Maintain cleanliness of cooking equipment, utensils, work surfaces, refrigerators, and storage areas. Work closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure orders are prepared and served promptly. Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations. Assist with stock-taking and communicate kitchen inventory needs to the appropriate supervisor. Ensure proper labeling and storage of prepared and raw food items. Maintain a clean and organized workstation before, during, and after service. Assist other kitchen staff when required. Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Head Chef, Kitchen Supervisor, or Management

Full-time hospitality role. Work may involve weekends, public holidays, evenings, and busy periods. Employee must be prepared to work flexible shifts depending on operational requirements. The role involves prolonged standing, lifting kitchen supplies, and working around heat and cooking equipment.
The ideal candidate is experienced, disciplined, clean, creative, dependable, and passionate about cooking, with the ability to consistently produce quality meals in a busy hospitality environment.
