Job Title: Fiber Optics Technician
Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Lagos
Summary
Are you passionate about building high-speed fiber networks? We're looking for experienced Fiber Optics Engineers to join our team and support the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of our fiber infrastructure.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables.
Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) and FTTx networks.
Perform fiber fault localization using OTDR, power meters, and other testing equipment.
Install and maintain GPON network infrastructure.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on fiber networks.
Support customer installations, activations, and service restoration.
Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.
Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate documentation.
RequirementsB.Sc./HND in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
Proven experience in FTTH/FTTx deployment and maintenance.
Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, termination, and testing.
Knowledge of OSP (Outside Plant), and fiber network architecture.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Professional certifications in fiber optics are an added advantage.
