 Job Title: Finance Lead

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Employment Type: Full-time (Hybrid) Job Role

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling across business lines and currencies. Oversee liquidity and cash management across partner banks, PSPs, and settlement accounts. Manage multi-currency cash positions and account reconciliations, ensuring transaction records are accurate and complete. Monitor FX risks and work with treasury partners to manage exchange rates and settlement costs. Lead the monthly and quarterly financial close process and ensure accurate and timely management accounts. Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in line with IFRS and applicable accounting standards. Design and maintain strong financial controls around transaction processing, settlement, revenue recognition, and payments. Monitor revenue, costs, margins, and profitability and provide insights to support business decisions. Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations across operating jurisdictions. Coordinate tax compliance, statutory filings, and internal and external audits. Oversee transaction reconciliation and settlement processes and ensure outstanding discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly. Identify financial risks, process gaps, and opportunities to improve financial efficiency and controls. Support fundraising, investor reporting, financial due diligence, and preparation of financial information for investors and partners. Work with Compliance, Product, and Operations teams on financial controls, pricing, regulatory requirements, and business growth.

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Professional certification in ICAN, ACCA or equivalent is preferred 6–9 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 4 - 5 years in fintech, payments, or financial services. Strong understanding of cross-border payment flows, FX, and settlement mechanics Solid grounding in IFRS and experience managing statutory audits Advanced Excel/financial modelling skills and account software Experience working with regulators and managing regulatory reporting obligations Strong analytical and communication skills.
