Synafare is a credit-led B2B marketplace and embedded finance platform powering Africa's clean energy supply chain across solar, HVAC, and EV. We connect distributors, installers, and buyers to inventory, working capital, warehousing, logistics, and market intelligence through a single trade rail.
We're looking for a talents to run the physical backbone of Synafare's marketplace in Kano. Inventory moving through our warehouse isn't just stock; it's collateral, working capital, and a promise to a distributor or installer waiting on a delivery date. You'll own different deliverables that happens between goods arriving at our dock and goods leaving it: accuracy, safety, speed, and cost.

Job Title: Forklift Operator

The Role
We're looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to move goods safely and efficiently around our warehouse.
A lot of what passes through our doors is bulky, valuable, and sometimes fragile (solar panels, HVAC units, batteries) so we need someone who treats every load, and every colleague on the floor, with real care.
What You'll Do
Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment. Load, unload, and move goods between receiving, storage, and dispatch areas safely and efficiently.
Support stock organization. Place and retrieve pallets and stock accurately according to warehouse layout and picking instructions.
Perform routine equipment checks. Inspect forklifts before each shift and report any faults or maintenance needs immediately.
Follow safety procedures. Operate within all safety guidelines, keep aisles and work areas clear, and flag hazards as they come up.
Assist with loading trucks and deliveries. Help load outbound vehicles accurately and on schedule, and support unloading of inbound shipments.
Support stocktakes. Assist the warehouse team with physical counts and moving stock to make counting easier and more accurate.
What You'll Bring
Must-have:
3 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse, distribution, or industrial setting.
A valid forklift operating license/certification.
Solid understanding of warehouse safety practices.
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling as part of the job.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
It will be an advantage if you have experience handling large or fragile equipment such as solar panels or HVAC units, or have worked in a warehouse supporting a distribution or trade business.
