Key Duties
Overall Hotel Management:Oversee all departments and hotel operations.
Ensure the hotel operates efficiently and according to established standards.
Implement policies, procedures, and operational strategies.
Financial Management:Monitor hotel revenue, expenses, profit, and cash flow.
Prepare and manage annual budgets and financial targets.
Control operational costs and reduce unnecessary expenditure.
Review daily, weekly, and monthly financial and sales reports.
Revenue & Business Development:Develop strategies to increase room occupancy, revenue, and profitability.
Monitor room rates, sales performance, and market trends.
Build relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, event organizers, and other business partners.
Drive marketing and promotional initiatives.
Staff & Human Resources Management:Supervise department heads and senior management staff.
Ensure proper recruitment, training, deployment, and performance management.
Establish staff discipline and ensure compliance with hotel policies.
Conduct management meetings and performance reviews.
Guest Experience:Ensure high standards of guest service and satisfaction.
Personally handle serious guest complaints and sensitive situations.
Monitor guest feedback and implement corrective measures.
Maintain the hotel's reputation and service standards.
Operational Supervision:Monitor Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Maintenance, Security, Accounts, and other departments.
Conduct regular inspections of rooms and hotel facilities.
Ensure proper coordination between departments.
Quality & Compliance:Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain hotel SOPs and service standards.
Ensure proper documentation and operational records.
Procurement & Asset Management:Approve or supervise major purchases and procurement activities.
Monitor inventory, equipment, furniture, and other hotel assets.
Prevent wastage, misuse, and losses.
Maintenance & Facility Management:Ensure all hotel facilities and equipment are properly maintained.
Follow up on major repairs and preventive maintenance.
Ensure the hotel environment remains safe, functional, and presentable.
Reporting & Management:Prepare regular reports for the hotel owner/board.
Present operational and financial performance updates.
Make recommendations on business improvements and investments.
Represent the hotel at external meetings and industry engagements.
