 Job Title: HR / Admin Officer

Location: Ogun

Job Type: Full Time Key Responsibilities


Attendance and Absenteeism Management:

Monitor daily employee attendance, punctuality, shift resumption and closing times. Maintain accurate attendance and timekeeping records for all employees. Review attendance reports regularly and identify patterns of lateness, absenteeism, early departure and unauthorised absence. Follow up promptly on unexplained or unauthorised absences. Maintain and update the Company's absenteeism and attendance tracker. Verify employee requests for leave, permission, late resumption and early departure in line with approved procedures. Escalate persistent attendance issues to the HR Manager Support the implementation of corrective and disciplinary actions arising from attendance violations. Prepare periodic attendance and absenteeism reports. Monitor shift attendance and ensure employees report to their assigned shifts as scheduled. Liaise with supervisors and department heads to verify attendance and resolve discrepancies. Ensure proper documentation of approved leave, sick leave, permissions and other absences.


General HR Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and personnel files.  Support onboarding, employee documentation and induction activities. Assist with probation monitoring and confirmation documentation. Support preparation of HR letters, memos, notices and other employee documentation. Assist with employee relations matters and HR investigations as required. Support implementation of HR policies and procedures. Maintain HR trackers and prepare routine HR reports. Assist in ensuring compliance with Company policies and applicable employment requirements.


Administration:

Support general office and administrative activities. Maintain proper filing and documentation systems. Coordinate routine administrative requests and support communication across departments. Assist with staff logistics and other administrative activities as assigned.


Requirements

HND or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Public Administration or a related discipline. Minimum of 2 to 3 years' relevant HR/Admin experience in a factory setting. Previous experience in attendance management, timekeeping, workforce administration or employee relations will be an advantage. Experience working with shift-based, industrial, manufacturing, mining, logistics or other site-based operations will be an added advantage. Good knowledge of attendance, leave and absenteeism management processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office applications. Strong record-keeping and reporting skills. Good knowledge of HR documentation and employee administration. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle employee information responsibly.
