Job Title: HR Manager, West Africa
Location: Lagos Responsibilties
Act as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees, providing practical and commercially focused HR advice. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and understand the operational needs of the business. Define, develop and implement the operating framework and policies and procedures for the department across the region and ensure legal and regulatory compliance and alignment to the company standards and international best practices Maintain oversight of day-to-day HR requirements of the business to ensure HR services are delivered in a cost effective and timely manner e.g., payroll, leave management, joiners, leavers, promotions etc. Implement and monitor HR KPI’s in line with the overall business strategy and KPIs Maintain and update the organization structure(s) and ensure up to date job descriptions are in place for all roles across the region Evaluate jobs and review compensation benefit packages to align with external market trends. Lead the development and implementation of manpower and recruitment plans to ensure Bureau Veritas is able to attract top talent Contribute to the development and lead the implementation of talent management & development frameworks to support capability development across the region Develop and implement positive employee relations programs, reward, recognition and promotions systems in order to enhance workforce motivation and effectiveness Partner the senior management to guide and advise on operational and strategic HR matters including but not limited to recruitment, career development, succession planning, talent management etc. Lead the training needs analysis process to identify training and developmental requirements and execute training interventions in a bid to upskill and enhance capability levels Support the development and implementation of ERP/HR systems to drive efficiency in the HR and administration function through automation Keep abreast of the external HR environment including regional local labor regulations and regional best practices Ensure compliance with all relevant (internal and external) regulations including QHSSE requirements using company policies and procedures as appropriate Coach, lead and manage the performance of team members by helping them overcome professional challenges in order to accomplish their responsibilities in an accurate and efficient manner Set and agree individual goals for all direct reports and evaluate individual performance providing regular feedback and coaching in line with the company’s people management practices.
