Job Title: HR Officer

The Human Resource Officer will play a key role in supporting and enhancing all human resource functions, ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the HR department. This role involves managing recruitment processes, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and HR administration of ORIKI Group.
Recruitment and Staffing:
Coordinate and manage the recruitment process from job posting to onboarding. Screen and shortlist candidates, conduct interviews, and manage the selection process. Recruitment for operational roles (spa therapists, nail technicians, spa attendants, etc.). Onboarding processes for new operational hires. Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and job requirements. Conduct background checks and reference checks for potential employees. Ensure that all new and old employees are added or removed from the company Whatsapp Groups. Maintain talent pool for critical roles
Assist in giving and solving employee inquiries and issues. Work with the HR Manager to foster a positive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution. Assist in the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives. Assist in mediating and resolving workplace conflicts and grievances in a fair and consistent manner. Ensure that employees and significant milestones are celebrated on the company groups and ensure that company gifts are requested for to the approved recipients.
Support the performance review process by coordinating schedules and providing necessary documentation. Ensure that employees are assessed in a timely manner. Provide guidance on performance improvement plans and development opportunities.
Identify training needs and coordinate the delivery of relevant training programs across the board. Assist in developing and implementing employee development plans. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement. Research on important training needed for employees according to industry standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both electronic and physical. Prepare and manage HR documentation such as contracts, offer letters, termination letters, suspension letters, warning letters and so on. Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies. Ensure that requests such as sick leave, annual leave, study leave, maternity leave and so on records are always up to date.
Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures. Ensure the company’s HR practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes affecting HR policies and procedures.
Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve HR processes and employee experience. Assist in organizing company events and employee recognition programs.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the HR Manager/Managing Director.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in a human resources role. Experience with recruitment and employee relations is preferred.
Effective research skills and ability to meet up multiple deadlines in good timing. Strong written and Oral communication skills. Must possess great attention to detail and very high organizational skills. Critical thinking and Problem-solving Skills. Ability to organize a daily workload according to priorities ▪ Proficient in Microsoft, google suites & Canvas. A team player with leadership skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and time management. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. Ability to handle stressful situations. Patient and understanding. Must be structure-inclined. Hardworking spirit, professional appearance and demeanour with a character of excellence is key. Ability to thrive in a fast paced & fluid environment and handle a variety of confidential information and issues in a sensitive manner.
