We are seeking a technically skilled and digitally savvy IT & Social Media Officer to provide day-to-day technology support while managing and growing the school's digital presence. The ideal candidate will combine strong IT support skills with creativity and practical experience managing social media platforms, creating content, and promoting the school's activities and achievements online.


Key Responsibilities
IT Support:

Provide first-level technical support to staff and students. Troubleshoot hardware, software, internet, printer, and basic network-related issues. Install, configure, and maintain computers, software, printers, projectors, and other IT equipment. Support the smooth operation of the school's digital learning tools and systems. Manage user accounts, passwords, software updates, backups, and basic IT security. Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT equipment and technology resources. Liaise with external IT vendors or service providers when specialised support is required. Provide basic technical assistance during school events, meetings, presentations, and examinations.


Social Media & Digital Content:

Manage the school's social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other relevant platforms. Develop and maintain a consistent social media content calendar. Create engaging content around school activities, academic achievements, events, student projects, staff activities, and announcements. Capture and edit photos and short-form videos for social media. Write engaging captions and copy that reflect the school's brand and values. Schedule and publish content consistently. Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and audience engagement. Track social media performance and provide regular reports and recommendations. Support the school's digital marketing, admissions, events, and promotional campaigns.


School Digital Support:

Work closely with management and academic staff to identify content opportunities. Help improve the school's online visibility and digital presence. Support the creation of digital materials for school events, announcements, and campaigns. Ensure all published content maintains a professional image and protects student privacy.


Requirements

Bachelor's Degree, HND, or relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. 3–4 years of relevant experience in IT support and/or social media management. Proven experience managing social media pages for an organisation, school, business, or brand. Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms. Good knowledge of Canva and basic photo/video editing tools. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good understanding of computers, networks, printers, software installation, and basic IT security. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to create engaging and professional digital content. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.


Added Advantage:

Previous experience working in a school or educational institution. Experience with school management systems or learning management systems. Basic knowledge of website management. Experience with Meta Business Suite and social media analytics. Photography and videography skills.


Salary
