Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Janitor Officer to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and presentability of our mental health rehabilitation facility in Lekki. This role is essential to creating a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct regular spot checks to ensure all areas remain clean, safe, and presentable
Carry out monthly deep-cleaning (ceiling fans, cobwebs, grass-cutting, indoor/outdoor spaces)
Ensure offices and workspaces are fully cleaned and ready by 8:00 a.m. daily
Clean all patient areas,bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges, ward areas, and other inpatient spaces
Sweep the compound daily and keep the hospital environment litter-free
Manage waste properly (covered bins, odour control, tidy waste areas)
Wash bedsheets, patient linens, and other laundry as required
Dust, sweep, vacuum, mop, and maintain all designated facility areas
Immediately clean spills, broken glass, or hazardous waste to maintain safety
Ensure all bathrooms and toilets (patient and staff) remain sanitary at all times
Promptly report deficiencies, damages, or repair needs to management
Submit requisitions for cleaning supplies when stock is low
Carry out other cleaning duties as assigned by nurses, clinicians, or management
What We're Looking For
Previous housekeeping/cleaning experience, ideally in a healthcare or hospitality setting
Reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented
Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Willingness to work shifts (including early mornings, where required)
Basic understanding of hygiene and infection-control practices is an advantage.
SalaryN200,000 - N250,000 per month gross.
