Job Title: Logistics Specialist Intern
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Description
The Logistics Specialist Intern supports the team in the execution of logistics operations while meeting the required delivery dates, service level and safety requirements.
ResponsibilitiesProvide support for transport requests and monitor delivery dates to achieve on-time delivery
Support equipment loadout plans per planning standard operating procedures
Monitor shipment/truck routings, leverage consolidation/cargo optimization, and maximize backload opportunities
Review work orders, monitor shipment execution and track shipment movements
Identify logistics network improvement projects or opportunities.
Ensure compliance with the international transport regulations.
Track cargo status and monitor performance
Update Import and Export systems.
Exposures & Experiences
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply chain, Procurement or Business Administration or any related social science field of study.
A recent graduate not more than 2years post-graduation
Proficient in the use of Microsoft office tools.
Must have completed NYSC.
Knowledge of logistics rules, regulations and processes in Nigeria.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
Working knowledge of SAP is a plus.
Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic industry.
