The Mechanical Engineerat Popville Luxury Homes Limited is responsible for designing, supervising, and managing all mechanical building services, including Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), luxury plumbing and drainage, fire protection systems, and water treatment infrastructure across Popville’s high-end residential projects. This role ensures that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installations meet luxury architectural specifications, Nigerian building codes, and strict safety standards. The Mechanical Engineer works closely with architects, civil engineers, site managers, and MEP sub-contractors to deliver efficient, defect-free, and high-performance building systems on schedule.

Review, interpret, and audit mechanical engineering drawings, HVAC layouts, plumbing schematics, and fire safety specifications for compliance with project standards. Supervise on-site installation of mechanical systems, including VRF/VRV central air conditioning, luxury sanitary fittings, boosted water supply systems, sewage treatment plants (STP), and fire suppression networks. Ensure precise coordination between mechanical services and civil/architectural elements to avoid structural clashes during execution. Conduct pressure testing, pipe leak checks, ductwork testing, and full commissioning of all installed mechanical infrastructure prior to handover.

Inspect all incoming mechanical materials, pipes, pumps, HVAC units, and fittings to verify brand authenticity, technical specifications, and quality standards before site deployment. Monitor sub-contractor workmanship daily to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and luxury finishing criteria. Maintain detailed material registers, tracking equipment logs, warranties, and operating manuals for client handover files.

Maintain strict 100% compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards (safety boots, hard hat, high-visibility vest) and site HSE guidelines. Participate in site coordination meetings and provide technical updates to the Project Manager and client representatives. Ensure mechanical installations comply with theFactories Actand relevant statutory health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Equipment Maintenance & Cross-Functional Support:

Supervise routine preventive maintenance and rapid troubleshooting for heavy site equipment, generators, pumps, and mechanical plant assets. Support site teams during idle periods with general technical tasks, inventory control, and operational support as assigned by leadership.
