We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Mixologist
Location: Gwarinpa, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time - shift-based (evenings, weekends & public holidays)
Reports to: Head Bartender & Wine Steward.
Core Purpose
Own the creative cocktail programme. Invent original, African-inspired signature drinks, prepare house-made syrups and infusions, and deliver craft, theatre and precision that turn every cocktail into an experience.
Raise the skill level of the bar team and help build a distinctive Cedar Grillz cocktail identity.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign signature, seasonal and event cocktails that blend international technique with African ingredients (zobo, tamarind, kola, baobab, palm wine, suya spice, hibiscus, etc.)
Create refined mocktails and food-pairing drinks
Document, cost and refine every recipe
Prepare house-made syrups, infusions, bitters and garnishes
Serve cocktails with showmanship and guide guests
Train the bar team on recipes and techniques
Control costs, manage stock and support responsible service & hygiene
Contribute to marketing content and brand positioning.
RequirementsMinimum: OND / HND in Hospitality/Catering + professional mixology certificate
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree + advanced mixology training
Required certifications: Professional Mixology, Responsible Service of Alcohol, Food Safety & Hygiene
Minimum 4–6 years professional bartending experience, with at least 2 years focused on cocktail creation
Strong portfolio of original recipes required
Advanced knowledge of spirits, techniques, flavour design and costing
Minimum age: 21.
