Role Summary
We are seeking a highly strategic, detail-oriented, and execution-driven Operations & Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize the company’s end-to-end operational and supply chain activities across retail, e-commerce, warehousing, procurement, fulfillment, and distribution channels.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency, inventory availability, cost optimization, demand planning, and seamless coordination between departments to support the company’s aggressive growth and expansion objectives.
This role requires a strong leader with experience in FMCG, beauty, skincare, retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods environments, with the ability to manage both strategic planning and day-to-day execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain Management:Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, fulfillment, and logistics.
Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely procurement and delivery of goods.
Manage relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, logistics providers, and third-party partners.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and operational bottlenecks.
Inventory & Warehouse Management:Ensure optimal inventory levels across stores, warehouses, and fulfillment centers.
Monitor stock movement, replenishment cycles, and inventory forecasting.
Implement inventory control systems to minimize stock discrepancies, wastage, and stockouts.
Coordinate regular stock counts, audits, and reconciliations.
Ensure warehouse operations comply with operational, safety, and quality standards.
Fulfillment & Logistics:Oversee order fulfillment processes across retail and e-commerce channels.
Ensure timely and accurate dispatch and delivery of customer orders.
Monitor logistics performance metrics including delivery timelines, order accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Develop strategies to improve delivery efficiency and reduce logistics costs.
Coordinate with customer service teams on fulfillment-related escalations.
Operations Management:Drive operational excellence across all operational touchpoints within the business.
Develop and implement SOPs, operational frameworks, and process improvements.
Ensure effective coordination between Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, and Inventory teams.
Monitor operational KPIs and prepare periodic operational performance reports.
Support expansion initiatives including new stores, stockist onboarding, and regional expansion projects.
Demand Planning & Forecasting:Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to forecast demand and align inventory planning accordingly.
Analyze sales trends, historical data, and market insights to improve forecasting accuracy.
Ensure inventory investment aligns with projected sales and business objectives.
Procurement & Vendor Management:Lead procurement planning and supplier negotiations.
Evaluate vendors based on quality, pricing, timelines, and reliability.
Ensure procurement processes align with company budgets and operational goals.
Identify alternative sourcing opportunities to reduce dependency risks.
Performance Management & Reporting:Develop and track operational KPIs across departments.
Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational reports for management
review.
Monitor team productivity, operational efficiency, and execution timelines.
Ensure accountability and performance discipline across operations teams.
Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure compliance with internal operational policies and regulatory requirements.
Implement controls to safeguard company inventory, assets, and operational data.
Monitor operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
The Operations & Supply Chain Manager will be measured on:Inventory availability rate.
Stock accuracy and reconciliation.
Order fulfillment turnaround time.
Logistics and operational cost efficiency.
Supplier performance and procurement timelines.
Warehouse efficiency.
Reduction in stockouts and operational losses.
Execution of operational projects and timelines.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
5–8 years of experience in operations and supply chain management.
Professional certifications such as APICS, CIPS, PMP, and Lean Six Sigma are an added advantage.
Prior experience within FMCG, Beauty & Skincare, Retail, E-commerce, Consumer Goods environments is highly preferred.
Proven experience managing warehouse, procurement, fulfillment, and logistics operations.
