Job Title: Production Manager

Job Summary
To lead production operations for the API plant, ensuring effective production and raw material planning, manpower utilization, compliance with approved procedures, and active participation in validation, qualification, deviation, and investigation activities.
ResponsibilitiesMonthly production and raw material planning.
To carry out manpower planning of the plant and coordinate with HR and Administration for supply of manpower for carrying out production activities as per schedule.
To be responsive to tasks/assignments given, and be proactive in alerting the concerned people in advance of the likely delay, with its reasons.
To help & involve in the investigation of OOS. OOT, Market complaint, CAPA, etc. To specify, in writing, responsibilities of all production personnel engaged in the plant and follow up on them for discharge of their function to full satisfaction of all. To investigate critical deviations and record the conclusions. To be involved in validation & qualification activities. To help the Quality Assurance department during investigation of market complaints & OOS.
To ensure that incident/accidents/ get reported to the safety department. To ensure strict adherence to Technology Security Systems developed to control leakage of confidential information. To make sure that all staff working under you follow the laid down systems and procedures and continuously stress formalizing written procedures to carry out all activities.
To prepare written procedures describing safe handling, storage of materials, and decontamination procedures for spillages. To help prepare specifications as part of a cross-functional team with Process Engineering and Project department for equipment and plant design for new products/technologies.
RequirementsB.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, B.Pharm, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or any other relevant scientific discipline
M.Sc. in a relevant discipline is an added advantage.
At least 10 years of production experience in chemical synthesis or the pharmaceutical industry, including leadership responsibility.
