Job Title: Regional Marketing Specialist, NE

Location: Gombe About the role

The Regional Marketing Specialist is a strategic bridge between central brand directives and local market execution. You will be responsible for driving brand dominance and customer acquisition within your assigned region. By leveraging localized insights, you will ensure Moniepoint is the first choice for consumers and that our physical and digital presence translates into measurable growth in market share and accounts opened.

What you will do

Strategic Planning & Budgeting:

Campaign Planning: Develop quarterly regional marketing calendars aligned with the bank’s national strategy but tailored to local cultural/economic nuances. Financial Oversight: Manage the regional marketing budget; perform monthly reconciliations and ensure all vendors are onboarded and paid per procurement policy. ROI Analysis: Track the "Cost Per Acquisition" (CPA) for all regional activities to ensure high-impact spending.

Local Brand & Identity Management:

Branding Implementation: Act as the "Brand Guardian" for the region, ensuring all branches, ATMs, and signage meet corporate visual identity standards. Local Media Buying: Identify and manage high-impact local visibility opportunities (e.g., regional radio, billboards in high-traffic markets, or community sponsorships). Competitor Intelligence: Monitor local competitor moves and provide monthly reports on their pricing, visibility, and tactics.

Sales Support & Market Activations:

Neighborhood Activations: Design and execute high-energy "storming" exercises in key markets, transport hubs, and residential clusters to generate immediate leads. Sales Enablement: Provide the regional sales team with the necessary collateral (flyers, branded merchandise, and digital assets) to close leads effectively.

Community & Relationship Marketing (Added Duties):

Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with local traditional rulers, trade unions, and community leaders to facilitate "entry" into new market segments. Customer Feedback Loop: Conduct informal focus groups or surveys during activations to gather insights on local pain points and product gaps. CSR Coordination: Identify local charitable or community causes that align with the bank’s values to boost regional goodwill.

What success looks like

Top of Mind Awareness (TOMA): Increasing the percentage of consumers in the region who name our bank first when asked about financial services. State Penetration Ratio: Growing the bank’s market share within specific districts compared to total addressable population. Cards Sold: Direct impact on the volume of new accounts opened via regional sales initiatives and marketing led activations. Budget Efficiency: Maintaining a variance of less than 5% between planned and reconciled campaign spend.

Who you are

Education & Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: 4–6 years of progressive marketing experience, ideally within the Financial Services, FMCG, or Telecommunications sectors.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Data Analysis: Proficient in analyzing market data and performance metrics to derive actionable insights and inform decision-making. Event & Project Management: Proven track record in planning, coordinating, and executing large-scale events and marketing activations end-to-end. Vendor Management & Negotiation: Exceptional negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to build strong vendor relationships and secure optimal contract terms.
