Job Purpose
The Storekeeper will be responsible for the efficient management and control of all materials, tools, equipment, and supplies on a large construction site, ensuring accurate records, proper storage, timely issuance, and effective stock control.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and control of the site store, ensuring proper receipt, storage, issuance, documentation, and accountability of all materials and equipment.
Key Requirements
3–5 years of proven experience as a Storekeeper, preferably within the construction industry.
Must have substantial site experience and the ability to manage a large construction site.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, tools, equipment, and inventory management.
Ability to receive, inspect, record, store, and issue materials efficiently.
Good understanding of stock control, inventory records, and documentation.
Ability to monitor stock levels and prevent shortages, wastage, or unauthorized use of materials.
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Ability to work under pressure and coordinate effectively with Procurement, Site Engineers, Project Manager,Accounts, and other departments.
Must be trustworthy, disciplined, proactive,detail-oriented and have intergrity.
Good computer skills and experience using inventory/store management systems will be an advantage.
